Enjoying My Summer
In the summer, I feel as if I have to soak up every minute. So I wake up earlier and stay up later. The evenings fly by as we try to fit every summer activity into them. This morning I went through my upcoming events on my calendar and realized that it is almost July. I experienced a split second of panic. Summer cannot possibly be going by that fast. But then I quickly realized how much we had done already. And then my summer began to feel exactly as it should. Because I am doing everything that I want to be doing.I have been going on morning walks and runs almost every morning, which is the most precious quiet time I have all day. I get to do more of the job that I love, taking pictures. I have been working outside with my laptop on the patio, and it makes the perfect office. We've gone to loads of my brothers' baseball games, and relaxed in the evening sun. We've had cook-outs and campfires with lots of good friends. We've gone to the drive-in movie theater, had multiple pool days, went to a Mud Hens game, and thoroughly enjoyed one another's company. And we've accomplished multiple HUGE house projects. All of this in just about a month and a half. No wonder summer is flying by. But I wouldn't have it any other way.The best part is that there is still so much to look forward to. I have lots more weddings! All of my couples this year are amazing, and becoming so special to me! July is going to be filled with weddings, including Trevor's brother's wedding. It will be the first wedding I am attending as a guest in over two years. I have the 4th of July weekend, the absolute staple of summer. I am also looking forward to having pictures of me and Trevor taken by a good friend, Amanda Julca. I have my birthday in August, and lots of warm summer activities in between. So, hooray for summer! I am completely enjoying myself. What are you doing with your summer? I would love some ideas. Enjoy your weekend! Here are all the boys at the Mud Hens game:
