Surprise!
Yes, that picture means what you think it means. We are having a baby! And we are beyond ecstatic! It has been so hard to hold it in. I have felt like I have had to hold so much back on this blog (and twitter and facebook) because I haven't been able to tell how I am really feeling. When we found out, we went into a little bit of shock. I've always thought about that moment when you find out you're pregnant for the first time, but when it was actually here, it was so real. It definitely took a few days for it to sink in, and it is finally starting to feel real after telling our family and friends.I am due in February, which works out more than perfect with my job and all the rest of our life. We are so thankful for that. Of course, with my personality, everything that I read about that could go wrong, I believe will. I keep trying not to think about it and fully live in the moment. But, I just keep hoping and praying that everything will be fine.We are just so excited about all the little and big moments that we will soon be experiencing. Life is moving fast now, and everything that I have dreamed about since childhood is becoming real. I am married to a man that is more wonderful than I ever imagined, I have a perfect little puppy, and now we are beginning a family together. It seems so surreal. My whole family is on overload with good news right now too! This past weekend my sister got engaged! And we are so happy! I am sure I will have much more on that soon. It just really feels like we are all becoming adults, and it is just so crazy! I just keep thinking back to the days when me and my sister would play make believe, pretending to have husbands and kids while at the same time we were college students and gymnasts, of course. It just seems hard to imagine that it is all becoming true, except I am definitely no longer a gymnast.Thank you so much for all of your continued support. I am sure this won't be the last blog post on this subject. And I don't want to fail to mention that the beautiful images were taken by my good friend and photographer, Amanda Julca. This past Saturday we had a session with her, and it was so much fun! I cannot wait to share more of the images with all of you! It was great to have our pictures taken for once.Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
