First Father's Day

When a baby enters the world, most of the credit goes to the mom, and that's the way it should be.  Us moms do a lot of things that dads would never dream of. Luckily, Dads get a special day of honor because too often we overlook the huge role that they play.  I don't know what I would do without Trevor...a lot of household tasks would definitely go unfinished for weeks at a time, and I would be in tears from exhaustion by about 6:00 PM every night. He does so much for our family, and Jasper and I would like to be able to thank him for just a few.Thank you for all the middle of the night and early morning diaper changes, the emptying of the diaper genie, the dish washing, the working of long exhausting hours so that mommy can be a home all day with Jasper and living out her dream job, putting up with mommy when she loses it simply because she is tired, taking mommy's long to do lists somewhat seriously, throwing out those long to do lists when you know mom needs to be told to take a break, all the love that you show to Jasper, the long nights of holding Jasper in the living room chair the first month so that mom could sleep, the giggles that you get out of Jasper, the spontaneous family dances in the kitchen, the constant loving words that you tell to mommy making her feel so beautiful, the love that you show mommy (this will always be the biggest lesson you teach Jasper, the way to love a woman), being mommy's best friend, being Willie's (our puppy) playmate, and being Jasper's amazing Dad!We cannot thank you enough for what you do for our family!  I love to watch you in your new role as a Dad; it has brought out the best in you.  I love you more each and every day.  And I love seeing the way that Jasper and you look at each other.  I love being surrounded by my guys!  I love you, honey!
