Little Sister Getting Married
My baby sister is getting married. Randi and Adam got engaged about three weeks ago and are planning a June 2011 wedding. It seems too crazy to even put into words. Because most days I still see her like this...... a little girl playing dress up. We were always playing pretend: pretend we are professional gymnasts, pretend we are in the Miss America pageant, pretend we are getting married. In all honesty, I couldn't believe I found a picture of her in our play wedding dress. With my take charge tendencies, I am sure I was usually the bride and she was the bridesmaid. And that is exactly what I am most worried about. I have been collecting ideas for Randi's wedding way before she even had a boyfriend. I have had a folder on my computer named "Randi's Wedding" for over a year now. I just want everything to be amazing for her, and with seeing so many weddings myself, I feel like I know what to do and what not to do. I am afraid I am going to turn into a monster though. I definitely don't want to get to the point where Randi feels like I ripped the wedding dress off her because I wanted to be the bride just like when we were little. I just want everything to be perfect for her.Luckily, so far, I think she is happy with my help. We are going to sit down next week to nail down the entire theme of the day, and I am so super excited! We will also be doing this engagement photo session. I am very anxious and nervous about this just because I want it to be the best ever! It's my sister! I am putting very high expectations on myself. But I feel so fortunate to be the one that gets to capture the love that my sister is feeling. It will be very special. So, as many wedding vendors as I do know from working weddings myself all summer, I would still love some help from all of you. If you have had an absolute amazing experience with someone, please let me know. Leave a comment or write me a quick email. I would greatly appreciate it! Enjoy your day!
