Dreams

Ok, here it is!  A list of my dreams!  (Make sure to read this post on dreaming to catch up)  I am always dreaming, but sometimes life begins to take you hostage and it begins to feel as if dreams are exactly that rather than being goals.  I am determined to make these dreams happen, and hopefully be sharing with you along the way.  Even if it takes awhile, as long as I am in the process of making them happen I will be happy.  This list is always changing and evolving, but when I dream of a better business, better home life, and better relationships these are the dreams that come to my mind.Dreams (but more like Goals):1. Write a Book - Might as well just start out with the craziest idea, but I have always wanted to.  I don't know what it is going to be about or when it will ever happen for sure, but I know it will because I want it so badly.  I am starting to take a serious look at what I will focus on through writing more, and I like to tell Trevor at night while I am scribbling in my journal, "I'm working on my book"  :)2. Website - I want to update it to reflect my life now, along with the newest technologies.  I can't give away all the secrets though.3. Farmer Photography Series - I have always wanted to do a whole series on the "Life of a Farmer".  I think this Spring it actually needs to happen.  (If you know any farmer willing to have me document some of his days, let me know)4. Create a Newsletter.5. Blog - I really want my blog to be somewhere where you can come to get to know me, see great images, find useful information, and just enjoy reading. I have a lot in store for making this a better place for you to come such as: monthly and weekly posts, client features, wedding artist features, more personal stories and images, and articles to help you plan your sessions and plan your wedding.6. Create Wedding and Lifestyle Look Books - I want to create catalog/magazine with EVERYTHING about your session/wedding!  With lots of images to look at, information about planning, and your questions answered.7. Go to a Photography Workshop or take a class.8. Hold a Basic Photography class for the Everyday Mom wanting to take better pictures of their children during the Everyday Moments.  (Any Interest?)9. Make a better work schedule/home schedule - I have never been a schedule person.  I work when I feel like working, do house work when I feel like doing house work.  (Get out of my pajamas late in the day)  But now, with Jasper, we need to get working on having a better schedule.  I am going to try my best on this one, but I honestly think this will be the hardest one to stick to.10. Have "Fun" days with Jasper where we just go and do something fun!  And actually put them on the calendar so they happen.  This is one of the many reasons I have always wanted to work from home, so that I can do things like this with my kids.  I need to make sure I take advantage of the time instead of just adding to my to do list.11. Make sure to schedule in more "date" time with Trevor - even if it is just taking time to talk about things other than Jasper for an hour after Jasper goes to bed once a week.12. Cook more new recipes - I love to cook, but it is so much harder with Jasper.  I just need to make the effort.13. Read more, even if it takes me 3 months to finish a book like the last book I read.  Reading is always a luxury item on my list.14. Have some parties!  Simple joys in life like that get pushed aside because of the work involved.  Who cares if the sink is full of dirty dishes?15. Create Artwork for myself and hopefully enter it in an Art Show - It seems like a lifetime ago already, but I did go to school for Fine Art.  I loved every minute of it...loved painting, photography, and worked mostly in collage.  I entered lots of art shows and loved it!  I need to do this again, even if just for myself.16. Make everyday moments with Jasper into art - I need to constantly have my camera ready at all times so that I can make our everyday last forever.  It is those tiny moments in time that are a treasure to be able to look back on.  And I want to cover my walls with beautiful pictures of my baby.17.  Keep adding to my list!  Never stop dreaming and setting goals for myself! Last night, as I was quickly going through Jasper's nine month pictures after he went to bed and I should have been sleeping too, I came across this beauty.  It is slightly out of focus, but it has this dreamy quality to it.  I instantly fell in love!  It just may find a place on my wall as a large print!
