Jasper in the Snow

Sometimes the unexpected, unplanned, spur the moment photo sessions are the best!  Jasper and I spent the morning having a friend over for coffee that then led into going out for lunch, which I definitely need to do more often.  We had so much fun!  When we got home I grabbed Jasper out of the car, set him down in the garage, and quickly walked out onto the snow covered driveway to get the mail.  I rushed a bit, thinking about all the things I needed to get done now with only half the day left.  On my way back from the mailbox, I looked over and Jasper was walking through the snow giggling.  I had a splint second thought of how perfect the light was with the snow and right away said, "Do you want to go to the woods and walk through the snow?"  Of course he exclaimed, "Ya!!!!"As we rushed around the house, throwing on his layered outfit, combing his hair, finding my boots and loading up the camera equipment, I wondered what I was thinking.  I am pretty sure Jasper had his doubts too.  But I am so glad we did it!  Jasper is turning two in less than two weeks so he needed pictures done anyways.  We were only out in the cold for about 10 minutes (I would have loved to do so much more!), but the images I got in ten minutes are perfect!  I am so excited!  I am sure I will be showing more in the coming weeks!  Enjoy the snow day!  And get outside and enjoy it!  Even if only for 10 minutes.
