Friday Fun : 3.01.13

Sticking a bit to the theme of yesterday's post of Welcome Into My Mess, here I am welcoming you to my literal mess.  Now, I know what you are going to say...my house doesn't even look that messy, but I have to admit to being a bit of a clean freak.  I don't like to have a lot of clutter because then I feel like I cannot focus on anything except for my messy house, and that is tough we I work from home.  I cannot leave the mess and ignore it...I see it all day long!  I pick up Jasper's toys every time he lays down for a nap, and Trevor and I have mastered our nightly routine of picking up all the toys in the first 5 minutes that Jasper is down for the night, right before we both plop on the couch to catch up on the shows we love. When we don't have anywhere to go on weekday mornings this is typically what it looks like right now.  Jasper and I stay in our pj's until I start feeling like a lazy bum for not getting dressed.  He colors, plays ball, races marbles, and watches cartoons.  I'll play with him, read a bit, run down the hall to work in my office, or start the laundry.  We love this type of morning, and as much as Jasper loves to be social he is a complete homebody. And, I just want to thank you all for the amount of support I have received after yesterday's post.  I wrote it, thinking I wouldn't post it, and almost didn't.  I want this blog to be a place that I freely write, but I am still learning what my boundaries will be.  I didn't want to get only comments and messages that I felt were people feeling bad for me, and boy was I wrong to even think that.  I have been blown away by the true love and support I've been shown today and am so encouraged to continue to write from the heart.  Pursuing photography was never really a decision for me because I loved and enjoyed it so much, but writing doesn't come as easily for me.  Although I have always loved to write, it takes much more effort and hard work.  I feel so strongly that I am being called to write more.  I have never felt such a pull to do something in my life.  I have always wanted to write a book someday, but it always just felt like a lofty dream.  Then in the past year I kept feeling a slight nudge to write more and more personally, and now the push is so strong I cannot ignore it.  Your support makes me feel all the more excited to keep writing and to see where this will lead me.  I thank you for reading the words that I work so hard to get out.Happy Friday everyone! Here Jasper is trying to get those darn fingers to stay down so that he can show how old he is.
